MIT Engineers have created a new kind of ingestible Pill to monitor the stomach conditions for a long period of time. The patient can swallow this Ingestible Pill something similar to any other pill, but once after reaching the Stomach it will be getting expanded like a big ball. so that it can stay in the Stomach for a long period of time This new pill is created using two Hydrogels. The combination enables this Pill to swell quickly inside the Stomach while remaining unaffected by the acidic environment of the Stomach. A Sensor can be attached to this inflatable pill so that it can measure the temperature of the stomach for a long period of time. It can measure up to 30 days. This new device can help to track ulcers, Cancers or any kind of GI conditions inside the Stomach for a long period of time. If the Patient wants to remove this device from his Stomach, he has to just drink a Calcium solution which triggers the pill to shrink into its original size and then it can just pass away from the body safely.
